Auckland Palace

Auckland Palace is surrounded by 10-acres of beautifully landscaped historic gardens, originally designed for the Prince Bishops of Durham.

Pioneering horticultural techniques were developed at Auckland Palace, including heated walls and glass hothouses to grow vegetables, flowers, fruit and even pineapples for the bishop’s guests.

Take your customers on a tour of the 17^th century Walled garden which has been fully restored, the wild and untamed beauty of the Wilderness Garden or the peaceful North Terrace garden with stunning views over the Deer Park.

*Opening in 2025 – The Great Garden. The centrepiece of the Auckland Gardens are due to open in 2025.
