New Travel Trade website launched at World Travel Market

A new website dedicated to Travel Trade professional looking to plan a trip to North East England will be launched at the World Travel Market in London this week.

The new website features information on accommodation, travel and bookable products.

The North East’s Travel Trade strategy is being developed as part of Destination North East England, England's first Destination Development Partnership (DDP), a ground-breaking pilot, worth £2.25 million, awarded to the North East by the Department for Culture, Media and Sport.

The DDP is led by NewcastleGateshead Initiative (NGI) in partnership with Visit Northumberland and Visit County Durham on behalf of all seven local authorities.

Travel Trade Manager at NGI, Alex MacKenzie said: "We are delighted to launch our new website at World Travel Market. Whether they know anything about the North East or not this website can give them the up to date information on what is available in our fantastic region.
