Roman Army Museum
The Roman Army Museum on Hadrian’s Wall is an accessible, interactive and engaging museum. With three large galleries, a Roman classroom, film theatre and activity centre. Between April and September witness live archaeology at the adjacent Roman Magna Fort.
Between April and September you can witness live archaeology taking place. The museum lies adjacent to Walltown Crags, the highest standing section of Hadrian’s Wall. It takes 20 minutes to walk from the museum to Hadrian’s Wall. The Fort at Magna was home to the Syrian Archers.
