Redworth Hall Hotel
Redworth Hall Hotel
Set within 26 acres of peaceful County Durham countryside, this four-star Jacobean country house brings together memorable stays, relaxing spa experiences and heritage days out, right on the doorstep!
Built by the Crosier family in 1693, it was inherited by Robert Surtees in 1744, the year giving the hotel’s restaurant its current name. Many original features from this time have been retained, such as The Great Hall, the Surtees family’s dining space, which is now used for weddings, events and private dining.
The building was later converted to a residential school, before being transformed into a hotel throughout the1980s and 90s.
Today it provides a stunning base for exploring local attractions such as Beamish, Kynren, Raby Estate, Auckland Castle and Hopetown, all of which celebrate the rich heritage of County Durham and Darlington.
